SONORA's
size makes it ideal for studio recording and as a portable
front-end in live performance and stereo recording applications
outside the studio.
The
ultra-linear frequency response has been finely honed
to a variance of just +/-0.1dB from 20Hz to 20kHz. Add
to this its transparent signal integrity, a lightningt-quick
transient response and electronically balanced ins and
outs, and you have a perfect solution for all your mics,
guitars and synths... in fact, just about everything.
With
over 60dB of distortion-free headroom and 60dB of gain
on tap, SONORA can capture anything from the quietest
pin-drop to a jumbo jet without breaking a sweat!
Each
channel has its own 75Hz high-pass filter, -20dB attenuation
and +48V phantom power switches, plus independent signal
and clip LEDs. Even when used as a two-channel DI box,
SONORA stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the best in
the business.
The
preamps have already gained some fantastic feedback.
"As soon as we had the first product units of CHIMERA
and SONORA," says Sontronics founder Trevor Coley,
"we took them on a tour of the studios in Hollywood,
and every producer and musician we met was absolutely
amazed at the sound quality as well as the styling...
especially when they found out the price! US guitar
legend Al di Meola is now using one of each on his current
world tour and he reckons they're the best preamps he's
ever tried on guitar!
"Sontronics
has always been about designing products that bring
musicians closer to perfecting their audio recording,"
continues Coley, "but without breaking the bank,
and our amazing new preamps do exactly that!"!"
