Available in silver or black, the STC-1 makes an indispensable addition to any mic locker, thanks to its ability to capture stunning performances from woodwind, strings, percussion, brass, guitar and other strummed instruments.
STC-1 has also become a go-to for field recording, foley/sound effects, video and film work.

"I love the transparent detail and the articulate accuracy not to mention the beautiful design and build quality. A must for recording acoustic guitar."

Whether you're spot-miking a solo instrument or capturing an ensemble from overhead, STC-1 excels every time
The STC-1 gives incredible results for close-miking all kinds of instruments (from bongo to banjo) or for overhead recordings.
However, it really comes into its own when used in pairs (either two individual STC-1 mics or our stereo pair STC-1S supplied with mounting bar), allowing you to capture impressive detail from acoustic guitar, piano, drumkit, ensemble, choir and more.
Its versatility doesn’t stop there though. With the addition of our optional OMNI or HYPER capsules, you can open up new world of potential, using the omnidirectional capsule for overhead and room miking or the hypercardioid option for super-focused pickup on instruments such as hi-hat within a drumkit.
STC-1 is a superb all-rounder, whatever or wherever you’re recording!
STC-1 is a superbly versatile mic that can be used on solo instruments or in pairs for stereo and overhead work.
"The STC-1 is fantastic for instruments and as an overhead mic. I would never believe you could get so much detail and quality from such an affordable mic."
